Job Title: Medical Technologist

Work Location: 2301 Worth Street, Hemphill, TX 75948

Duties: Perform a full range of routine laboratory tests and procedures in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, serology, coagulation, and microscopy, in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Observe, monitor, record, interpret and report results on tests performed with accuracy. Operate and maintain instruments and equipment.

Minimum requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science

Sabine County Hospital is currently seeking a PRN LVN. The individual will work under the direction of a registered nurse and participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his/her scope of practice. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staff and other hospital departments. Assists in health teaching of the patient and family as directed by the Registered Nurse. Functions as patient advocate. Provides nursing care as appropriate for condition of patient.


Plan, organize, direct, provide and evaluate care needed to maintain safety and improve the health and well being of patients through the implementation of the nursing process. Provides oversight for all nursing care processes provided by other members of the nursing staff. Serve as patient advocate and be actively involved in the care of the patient and support of family members. Communicate effectively for continuity of care among patients, families, ancillary personnel and hospital departments.
